Jalen Hurts accounted for two touchdowns and the Eagles pass rush notched four sacks as Philadelphia beat the San Francisco 49ers 24-17 on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
Hurts finished with 168 passing yards and a rushing touchdown, and the Eagles defense held the 49ers to just 3.1 yards per carry. Philadelphia remains in the hunt for the NFC top seed with one game to play.
"Defense wins in January," head coach Nick Sirianni said. "That is the formula."
The 49ers managed a late touchdown to make it a one-score game but could not recover an onside kick.
